Screencasting and podcasting follow up Posted on March 27th, 2011 by

Last week, we had a great session on creating digital content for your classes. Martin Lang demonstrated the use of Snapz X Pro for creating software tutorials, and Karla Marz demonstrated how to use GarageBand to produce digital lectures.  If you would like try screencasting, Faculty Focus suggests some free software options. For podcasting, instructional services has pdf instructions for using Quicktime X and GTS has instructions for using Garageband, both of which are available on the Gustavus Mac disk image. In addition to creating software tutorials and podcasts of your lectures, teachers have also used screencast software to provide students with writing feedback or to setup a peer review system.
